Job Overview
- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Mexican dishes
- Follow recipes and adhere to the restaurant’s standard preparation methods
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet the restaurant’s standards
- Inspect and clean cooking equipment and work areas to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
- Coordinate food preparation with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Stock and maintain inventory of food and cooking supplies
- Monitor food levels and communicate with the kitchen manager for reordering
- Adapt recipes to meet special dietary needs or customer preferences
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new dishes or menu items
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards
- Follow portion control guidelines to minimize food wastage
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food preparation
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality and accuracy
- Communicate effectively with servers and other staff to ensure smooth service
- Provide a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
