Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Restaurant Dishwasher to join our dynamic team. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely cleaning and sanitization of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment used during food preparation and service. Additionally, you will assist in keeping the kitchen area tidy and supporting the culinary team as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, and kitchen equipment using commercial-grade dishwashers or by hand.
• Organize and stack cleaned dishes, ensuring they are readily available for use.
• Properly handle and store cleaned items to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
• Remove trash and recyclables from kitchen and dining areas, disposing of them appropriately.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas.
• Support kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation and other tasks as needed.
• Comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring a hygienic environment at all times.
• Work efficiently to meet dishwashing demands during peak restaurant hours.
• Maintain a positive and collaborative attitude, fostering a harmonious team environment.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Physical stamina and strength to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads.
• A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail in maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the restaurant schedule.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
